The Met

The largest dining venue on campus, The Met features a variety of dining stations in an all-you-care-to-eat format, as well as outdoor seating during the warmer months.

• refueling after all-day drawing marathons
• having a little bit of everything
• rolling out of bed right down to breakfast (or dinner)
• using the ReUse container program for convenient lunches
• finding your first-year community...
• ... and keeping in touch throughout your time at RISD

The Met accepts meal swipes, or payment for a Met Swipe using Dining points, RISD Bucks, or a credit card.

Prices vary depending on the meal time and your payment method. If you use a credit card, payment rates per meal time are:

• $12 breakfast
• $14 lunch or brunch
• $16 dinner
• $14 late night

The rates above are reduced by 5% if you pay with RISD Bucks, and 25% if you pay with Dining Points.

If you are unsure of your Met Swipes or Dining Points balance, you can check your balance at the cashier, or via the RISD Bucks app.

The ReUse to-go container program lets you to take a meal to-go from The Met, if you do not have time to stay for lunch on 11 am–3:30 pm Monday through Friday. In order to maintain the sustainability of this program, students must return their used containers within the specified timeframe. Otherwise, a fee will be applied per unreturned container.
 

The Met is a nut-free facility, and offers vegan and vegetarian options daily. All dining facilities label the top nine allergens on the printed menus at each food station.

To bring a guest to The Met, you must use a guest swipe or pay for their access per the rates listed above. Please note that guests must follow all on-campus guest policies and procedures.
